They constructed this in just one week at a cost of less than $1,000 in 1971 dollars. This is without plumbing, etc.

It looks to be about 500 sq ft from the plans.

    Good post.

Any chance there’s a better rendition of the plans or should I grab a drawing program and “build it” on my computer first? We live “in the country” but still have to submit a “plan” to our town government for tacit approval. We’re beyond the ETJ of a tiny town but the long arm of the P and Z still reach us at tax time. They really don’t care what we build as long as they deem it safe. We’re also toying with the idea of pyramidal structures (pyramodule.com) and will visit one this summer in Texas. This A-frame would be cheaper and quicker to build and would probably please the inspectors a bit more. They referred to us as pod people when we approached them with the original pyramod idea.
    Thanks.
